Art Crimes: The Offence of Destruction; Political Art
Within the arena of political art the relationship between art and power is complex with propaganda often resulting from the combination of political engagement and creation.
This work can be said to be political in that it exposes the coercive authority of the military and thus the state and the unjustified targeting of civilians in conflicts.

The work refuses to admit its subordination to these institutions and questions the legitimacy of their actions, and demands not only that responsibility be awarded but also that action be taken to correct the situation. These works are meant to be offensive as they strive to represent the forgotten and vulnerable civilian population in post conflict countries.
