Spirit Collection : The Angels
The foundation of Blake and Boky's collaborative work. This collection explores the beauty within, opening up the figure and diving into the inner structure. The driving force behind this project was to expose the inner world of the figure, one that usually isn't seen. Drawing attention to what is usually hidden became a conduit for deeper introspection. Subsequently, the engineering behind this first desire to open the figure also tied into the second desire : allowing the sculpture to be both static and in movement. Every artwork in this collection is subject to the rule of physics whereby their structure allows them to "dance" and be alive in accordance to their environment.
