Boky Hackel

Boky Hackel has been sculpting for just over a decade. Initially learning under the guidance of Blake Ward, she quickly took the creative direction into her own hands. Her artistry has evolved with her since birth, initially inspired by the wilderness that cradled her creative spirit in the depth of the Costa Rican jungle were nature and nurture became one. The sky was her first playground. Her. mother an accomplished feminist and acrobatic commercial pilot gave Boky a bird's eye view of life that would later shape her perspective on the human experience which she has made her mission to share on a spiritual an emotional level through her creative endeavours. From photography, film, poetry, music, conceptual art which all comes together in her sculptural body work which explores the mysteries of time and being through light, steel, poetry, bronze and gold. Rough reflections and noble materials come together in perfect synergy to emphasise the dichotomy of human kind. An Homage to all those who have inspired her and all those who continue to be inspired by life itself.
